The Canarian Island of Tenerife is very often refered to a Paradise Island and for many good reason! The island boasts all year round sunshine, offers an exceptional choice of International and Spanish cuisine set against the stunning background of the volcanic Mount Teide. Most Europeans invest in their Tenerife Property in the main tourist resorts of Los Cristianosand Playa de las Americas, located in the south west coast of the island.
Whether you are planning a romantic break away with your loved one, a quick long weekend away or a fortnight family holiday, Tenerife really does have something for everyone young and old.
If you are interested in buying property for sale in Los Cristianos then you are probably looking for an apartment which when not in use could be rented out easily. Los Cristianos is located approx. 17 km's from the south airport called Reina Sofía and without doubt is one of the most popular Tenerife Property purchase in the Canary Islands.
Los Cristianos boasts of two sandy beaches (also planned is a further sandy beach across from the Sunday Market) with a seafront promenade that runs along the beachfront and harbour littered with cafes, restaurants of all types and bars. The beaches of Los Cristianos are artificial made and hence not the black sand that you would probably see around the other coastal beaches. The recent re-development have equipped all the beaches with showers, toilets and changing rooms, all very clean and regularly looked after.
Los Cristianos was and to an extent still is a small fishing village hence why it tends to attract a slightly older holidaymaker in comparison to the vibrant Playa de Las Americas. It has managed to keep a lot of its original architecture and atmosphere and still has a wonderful busy harbour that offers daily fishing trips, pleasure cruises, diving excursions and ferries to La Gomera and La Palma.
Down by Los Cristianos harbour is where the old town can be found full of shops and close ot the recently refurbished Catholic church. Furthermore Los Cristinaos is far more sophisticated resort to its neighbour Las Americas in terms of property.
Even though both areas have seen a growth over the years, when you are walking along it is difficult today to differ where one ends and the other begins. Maybe once you reach the heart of each town, the differences become more apparent. What you will always find is all year round sun, Pubs, clubs, shops and plenty of seafront restaurants catering to all kinds of cuisine. The beachfront offers not only British food but also ever present Chinese, and other local local specialities. There are plenty of traditional 'tapa bars' offering fish caught in the Atlantic, and various local Tenerifian wines.
If you are looking into buying property for sale in Las Americas then there are many reasons why this area is one of the first choices for the British and Northern European holidaymaker looking for a quality Tenerife Property. This makes property in Las Americas very sought after here to rent and to invest into. When looking for a tourist area, to secure your rental income, then Las Americas Property has the quality and incomparable design. Playa de Las Americas has grown in the last 5 years to become one of the most sought after holiday resorts in Europe. This area is renowned throughout the world for having everything a visitor could want for for a sun drenched holiday packed clear blue sea, golden sandy beaches and a well documented night life.
Playa de Las Americas started in the late 1960's when a small amount of hotels were constructed set around a man-made beach with gold sand imported from the Sahara. Today it is a bustling tourist town boasting a huge range of facilities to keep everyone happy all day and all night. There are blue-flag beaches along the Playa de las Americas and Fañabe, choice of water sports, restaurants and bars and commercial areas devoted to the shop till you drop.
It is a real home from home, with the amount of British pubs and resturants for those that don't like local food. Virtually free from anything local Canarian, this is a paradise for the young to come and party. It has been attracting the young and trendy which hastoned down slightly in recent years but not disappoint those looking for a fantastic night out. |
